Inverted Nipple
Introduction
Inverted nipples are a very common condition amongst women, but the good news is that they can be corrected quickly and effectively through inverted nipple surgery. Whether you were born with the condition or you’ve experienced changes during puberty or after breastfeeding, this minor change can have a major impact on your self-confidence and overall appearance of your breasts.
Our approach
Over the years, we’ve guided thousands of women through inverted nipple surgery. From experience, we’re able to safely and accurately tailor the procedure towards each patient’s goal, ensuring the results are unique and individual to them.
During your consultation, you’ll have plenty of time to discuss the look you want to achieve with your surgeon, and the opportunity to see former patients’ results from inverted nipple surgery, giving you a better idea of what to expect.
Considerations & What to Expect
Inverted nipple surgery is performed under local anaesthesia, where the nipple is gently infiltrated until it becomes numb. A transverse access incision is made across the nipple, followed by dividing the ducts and underlying scars to release the nipple. The incision is then closed with dissolving or sutures, and a doughnut dressing is applied to avoid any pressure on the nipple. The dressing is changed after one-week in the dressing clinic. The healed scar is invisible in most patients.
