In our practice, a tummy tuck is performed under general anaesthetic, and takes two to threehours. Drainage tubes are placed under the skin to collect any excess fluids and are removedafter around 48 hours. Dressings are left for 10 - 14 days and a compression garment may besuggested for up to three-weeks.
